How to pick color with Eyedropper tool in stroke with gradient

So i am trying to pick up color in a big stroke that has a gradient applied, the stroke has a gradient that goes from something blue to green (see picture below), how can i pick colors from it?

If you are selecting from a stroke make sure it's the stroke line you select from or it will just pick up the colour of where you are selecting...? See screenshot below...

Selecting the stroke does not pick up a single color, it picks up the gradient.

The closest you can get is to hold the Shift key while you are clicking the eyedropper tool. This will give you the screen color at thst point.

If it's a squarre for ex with a gradient, shift + colorpicker will give the exact color point but not with a stroke that has a gradient, at least not on my old Illustrator.

Selecting off the stroke line SHOULD give you a single colour..? Sorry i miss read your first post, so selecting the stroke line give you the gradient and selcting off the line but still on the colour should select the colour..? 🤔
