How to recreate my fill from an ai file?

I have done THE thing, which should not be done!  Reinstalled my Mac AND destroid my huge external HD with all my illustrations!

But I have one ai file with some of my designed fill used.

Is there a way that I recreate them as fill again?

So those look like patterns.

But still: did you create them in that file? Are they in the swatches panel? In that case there's no need to re-create them, because they exist in that file.

So this is about patterns?

Or did you place your designs in a different file?

Can you share a screen shot of the file opened in Illustrator along with any version of the original illustration (for example if you shared it via Social Media then show us that as well).

You're welcome and good luck for everything else.

If you have not nulled the harddrive (overwritten it) or badly smashed it, there might be possiblities to recover it. There is recover software and there are services in most larger cities.
