You can try to click the little cross, but that can be hard.

Or go to View menu > Perspective Grid > Hide Grid

    Good to hear that helped. It is possible by clicking the cross (you have to click very precise), but only when the Perspective Grid Tool is selected, clicking with one of the Selection tool arrows does not work.
