How to uncrop a cropped image in Illustrator

Question

Hi,I can't seem to find a way to uncrop a cropped image in illustrator. Is there any way to do that or do I have to re-insert the fullsized image? I'm using Adobe Illustrator CC 2019.Thanks,Kim

If you are not sure what the exact area you want to view, then you might want to use a clipping mask which can be adjusted to change the area revealed. Then make your crop.
