How to uncrop a cropped image in Illustrator

New Here ,
Dec 18, 2018 Dec 18, 2018

Hi,

I can't seem to find a way to uncrop a cropped image in illustrator. Is there any way to do that or do I have to re-insert the fullsized image? I'm using Adobe Illustrator CC 2019.

Thanks,

Kim

Hi, Kim,

Cropping is a destructive process, and irreversible. Yes, you will have to start again with the full image,

If you are not sure what the exact area you want to view, then you might want to use a clipping mask which can be adjusted to change the area revealed. Then make your crop.
