I always wonder why the character window disappear when I jump into a clip group.

Just why...

I don't want to use that janky ass floating bar, and you can't even dock the character/ paragraph window cause they're under properties.

Guys any work around for this...?

It disappears because the Properties panel is contextual, and a clip group is not a text object.

Character/Paragraph have their own panels under Window > Type. They are not tied to the Properties panel.

I think I used to have Character/Paragraph panels before but during some updates I lost them and don't know where to locate them.

Btw when I mentioned clip group I actually meant selecting text within a clip group. Idk throughout the later versions Adobe keep putting their focus on developing AI for everything, but missed out a lot of of basic UI performance which upset me a lot.
