I have a white logo png file with transparent background that I am trying to convert to vector. When I hit image trace it just becomes a white block. What am I doing wrong? I am attaching some screenshots. Any help will be grateful.

Like the previous poster says, Illustrator treats white like transparent. Since it's all white, just select your raster object, go Edit --> Invert Colors to make it all black. Then go ahead and do your trace, then when you're happy with it, select it and make it white.
