Question

I can't close Illustrator or access the menu due to a System Compatibility Report

Illustrator is suggesting a display graphic update that can't be found and because of this, I cannot close the app or access it's menu. I have to Ctrl Alt Delete to shut it down, (so annoying). I have enclosed a screenshot. Btw, all my drivers are up to date, and said to be the best for this computer.

1. Am I missing something when it comes to the driver?

2. Why can't I close the compatibility box so I can further access the illustrator (to close or follow fix instructions that require me accessing the menu)?

The Intel HD Graphics 630 chipset is an integrated graphics accelerator for notebook PCs. It has no on-board dedicated memory; it relies on system RAM for its operations. According to a quick web search the HD Graphics 630 chipset was released for notebook computers in August of 2016. The chipset is going on 8 years old.

It is growing more common for people to use a notebook computer for upwards of 10 years or longer. But it is far more difficult to get that kind of product life span out of a notebook that is either a lower cost model or an ultra-portable. A notebook that has its own dedicated graphics board (with its own on-board pool of faster GDDR RAM) is going to withstand the increasing performance requirements of application updates for a longer amount of time.
