Hi there!

I am trying to group a picture and objects I drew but I am unable to. I used the selection tool as with the previous version, click on group and nothing happens. Could you please help me?

Thanks

Please elaborate. By "picture", are you referring to a photo you've placed? Or, did you use Illustrator to open the photo, and not use Place to put it in a new document? Or, are you referring to a graphic you drew, and other graphics you drew. Also, versions of your OS and your Illustrator Version.

I can tell you that on my MacOS 10.12.5 Sierra with Illustrator 2017.1.0, I was able to place a photo, draw other shapes and group them same as before - worked exactly as expected. So, anything you can give us to help us help you will be appreciated.

Try making your selections in the Layers Panel (click to right of the circle to select the item). See if you are able to group as expected.

Yes I think the problem was that I did not place the figure but instead copied and paste. After I placed it, it did work! Thank you very much for you suggestions!

does it group other items on other documents or within the one you have open? are you using the "command+g" command?
