I can't paste a subsublayer into existing sublayers

Hello,

For a project, I want to paste 'Laag 5' (Layer 5) into the layer 'Left eye', but it is not possible. It shows a symbol similar to the red one I drawed. I have checked and unchecked the box 'Paste Remembers Layers', but that doesn't help. I bought the character online, so I haven't made the structure in the Layer 'Head'.  Can you please help me?

I suspect that "Left eye" is a group and not a sublayer.

Groups cannot contain real sublayers.

In the meantime, I've found another way to make both elements appear when blinking, so an answer is no longer needed for me. Thanks for the help.
