I Can't Press Alt + Shift At The Same Time

Hi,

I'm using Illustrator 21.1.0 on an iMac and recently Illustrator has stopped letting me press Alt + Shift at the same time. I'm trying to duplicate an object and drag it in a straight line in a quick motion - something I do often - but it doesn't work. I can only use one or the other.

Other multiple key presses do work but not this combination.

I have tried changing the keyboard - all keyboards on my computer do this.

I've tried going to a previous version of Illustrator, updating again and completely uninstalling and reinstalling AI - no luck.

Any idea what could be happening or how I could fix it?

Thanks

Has been introduced with the recent Wacom update.

You could try and contact Wacom about it and then they might help you uninstalling all the old stuff.

You could also try if installing the older driver works.

Update:

I've realised this only happens when I'm using a Wacom, not a mouse. Mouse works okay but I don't use a mouse to design.

I've tried two different Wacoms and neither work.

Have you tried deleting your Illustrator preferences?

Hi,

Yeah, I went back to the previous driver for my Wacom and it's all fixed now - turns out the latest driver was causing several problems.

Thanks!
