I can't seem to locate the recolor button

I don't see it under the property panel. Recolor artwork is checked in the in the Properties panel dropdown.  I also went to Edit --> Edit Colors and Recolor Artwork is greyed out. Recolor with Preset is available to use.  Any ideas?

This is Illustrator CC 2018.

Is the object you wish to recolor an embedded raster image, such as jpg or png? If so, about all you can do is to adjust the color balance of the whole image or convert it to grayscale. If it is not, what is it?

Hi,

Edit->Edit Colors will be enable when you select the artwork. Are you sure you have selected the item.?

Could you please share screen shot of "Properties" panel and "Layers" panel to see what you have selected in the document?

Best regards

I've moved this from the poorly named Community Help forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Illustrator forum so that proper help can be offered.
