I cannot change the number of sides of a polygon in Illustrator 5.1 (Windows)

Hello,

For some reason I do not understand I cannot change the number of sides of a polygon by dubble clicking on the tool. For other tools (where you can change something) this is no problem and workes, but not for the polygon tool. Anyone a clue?

Thanks!

If you're talking about changing the number of sides of an existing polygon, forget it. Illustrator does not provide live shape primitives.

If you're talking about changing the number of sides to which the tool is set, AltClick the page to invoke the tool settings dialog.

Brilliant! AltClick works, instead of double clicking on the tool, as Illustrator Help suggests!

Thanks for your quick reply.
