I cannot see the centimeter measurement on the "new document" page when I first open it.

I am using Illustrator version 29.0.1. When I try to create a new file, the centimeters unit doesn't appear among the measurement units in the setup panel. However, once I open the file, centimeters are available in all workspace measurement settings. It’s only missing in the initial setup panel. How can I fix this?

Hi @Aslı289410129al8,

It sounds like you’re not only missing centimeters but also meters from the unit options on the “New Document” setup panel. This may be due to the dropdown menu being cut off on your screen.

Here are a few steps you can try:

1.Reset Preferences: Go to Illustrator’s preferences and reset them to see if this resolves the issue.

2.Adjust Interface Size: Try switching to a smaller interface size in Illustrator’s preferences.

3.Increase Monitor Resolution: If possible, increase your monitor’s resolution to allow more items to display in the dropdown.

Let me know if this helps, or if you continue to see any issues!

Best,

Anshul Saini
