I lost the x y coordinates in the toolbar

I use the numerical x,y locators on the toolbar very frequently to place objects in specific places by entering locations. I resized the open illustrator program, and those numbers disappeared. The Transform box could work, but it doesn't register movement if you highlight an object and nudge it with the keyboard arrow keys.

I'd love to get those numbers back in the toolbar, next to the size numbers.

Unchecking Shapes from the list works for me.

But I have some more items unchecked.

I suspect that this only happens with real live shapes. With these, the shape properties appear in addition and the space in the bar becomes too tight. If the live shape is converted to a path, then the coordinates are also visible in the control bar again. If you work with Live Shapes, then open the properties window additionally (or you need a wider monitor 😉 ).

      Yes, unchecking "Shapes" in the Toolbar List worked...I can now get both shape dimensions and xy coordinates.

      Have you tried unchecking some of the options in the Option menu that pixxxelschubser is showing? Illustrator will only show the options it has room for in the Control panel. Turn off some of the option in the menu and your X/Y fields should magically reappear.

        Thanks to you and pixxxelschubser. I did check the list of toolbar items.

        I can't figure it out. In older files, I get xy numerals for both element dimensions and for placement, even when I copy and paste one of the elements, and highlight it.

        However, if I draw a new element, and it is highlighed, I only get the dimensional xy numbers, and just the wore "Transform" that I need to click to open the dialog box.
