Question

I'm working in sRGB so should monitor be set to sRGB?

I'm a graphic designer working in both print and web. I've set up InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop working spaces to sRGB.

I have a new monitor which reproduces 100% of the sRGB colour gamut. By default sRGB is turned off. Should I turn it on?

Then I'll be working in sRGB and viewing it on an sRGB monitor. Or would this be a bad idea because sRGB is probably a smaller gamut than my monitor?

    Agree with Ton.

You can soft proof and preview output in all of the apps you mention.

Since you are working for print and web, use your monitor profile

I would leave your monitor as it is, it maybe a good idea to calibrate it from time to time.

If your monitor can display more than sRGB, it makes no sense to limit it to sRGB.
