I need to split a page in half, is there any way? There are too many pages.

I made an 84 page catalog in Illustrator in a3 dimension (2 pages are one a3). Now the print shop wants one A4 page. Can I split one design in half and export it to PDF? Or do I need to create a whole new project with a smaller artboard?

You can try this (but first make a copy):

Create two A4 sized rectangles on the first A3 page and give them a color that you have not used in your document.

Cut the 2 rectangles.

Edit > Paste on All Artboards

Select > Same > Fill Color

Object > Artboards > Convert to Artboards

Delete the first 84 artboards.
