I want to get my text wider

Hey guys,
I cant find a way to get my text wider. Adobe Forum 1.PNG

I just want to get this text wider, so you can see it better from a distance. I read the last two hours about it, but I dont know what I am doing wrong.

I dont know how to get this text wider. I know i can use the stroke, but i cant use that because after that I want to do a " knockout text" like this here. forum 4.PNG
so when i use the stroke, the stroke wont geht cut out.

Can someone please help me?

The feature only works with fonts that are prepared for it.

Those fonts are named "Variable Concept"

You can use "offset path" for a "cleaner" result (than stroke)

and then object/expand it.

It is not necessary to convert the text to outlines if the knockout is done with the transparency pallet.
