Illustator brush is getting condensed

This brush I created is getting condensed when the path is short or when it is curved.  How do I keep it from doing that.

Markb, As Ton mentioned, you have to many repeats in your brush. You only need one repeat.

 

The top example has to many repeats. It’s getting condensed like your brush.

The bottom example had only one repeat.
