Illustrator 2020 crashing on launch on macOS Mojave

New Here ,
Jan 10, 2020 Jan 10, 2020

I have updated to Adobe Illustrator 2020 but it crashed at this stage and can never proceed to opening the App. All I can do is to download the older version of Illustrator again to open the files. Any idea why?

Hi, on which OS do you have Illustrator running? Are third-party plug-ins installed?

Hi, I'm using the most updated OS - macOS Mojave Version 10.14.6.

It stopped everytime at the same screen, I am not sure if any third-party plug-ins are successfully installed.

Hi Alfred,

So sorry to hear about the crashing. I understand that's really frustrating. Looks like Illustrator if facing problems while initializing plugins from the application folder. I would request if you can uninstall the application completely with the Cleaner tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html) and reinstall it again from the Creative Cloud Desktop App (https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop).

Regards,

Srishti
