Illustrator 2020 Gradient

Hi All,

 

I have watched a few videos and tutorials on here which have been helpful but I want to do something very simple and that is...I have 2 hex codes which I would like to enter into illustrator and create a gradient for my logo (Fill)

 

Any ideas on how to do this?

 

I have opened the Gradient panel and I can see how to enter one hex code in the colour picker plus the when creating a direction it doesnt look like what I like which is something I created on my color picker

As Monika mentioned and it is in the documents she uploaded, you can choose any color while you are using the gradient tool when you double click on the clor it self it will show you the HEX colors as well

Which document color mode is your Illustrator file?

If it's CMYK then what you're seeing is to be expected. HEX codes are RGB.

Thankyou so I have found through the Color guide how to enter one Hex code which gives me one of my chosen colours

 

Where can I enter 2 hex codes to create a gradient?

 

Im clearly missing the point somewhere even though I have watched the tutorial video and youtube a few videos too. I have found that Im not seeing some things that other people are showing in thier videos e.g. the fill/stroke option on the left hand side. When clicking on the fill it supposed to open a new window but when  do it nothing happens.

 

Would be grateful if you/someone could send a screenhot of where i can enter 2 hex codes and create a gradient

Create 2 swatches in the swatches panel and then apply them to the gradient stops.
