Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Please make sure you have Adobe Illustrator & Windows updated to the latest version.

You may also try resetting preferences once. Please follow instructions below to do that:

  • Close all Adobe applications.
  • Go to Location C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
  • Rename Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Illustrator 24 Settings folders to Adobe Illustrator.old and Adobe Illustrator 24 Settings.old
  • Launch Illustrator from the Creative Cloud.

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and Illustrator will recreate new folders with default settings.

Let us know if it helps.

Regards,

Ashutosh

I have illustrator 2021 (v 25.0.1). Windows updated to 20H2 (19042.630)

30 minutes ago I had Windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build 18363.1198).

I faced this issue yesterday too! Never faced this trouble in Illustrator 2021.

No files open. Laptop restarted few minutes back. No other major memory intensive software running. CPU usage shot up to 100%. Massive heating of CPU. Resetting the preferences doesn't solve the issue.

Please help.

Let us know if you see similar behavior there. Looking forward to your response.

For me CoreSync process was causing 100% CPU usage. Closing it fixed the issue.

Same. Coresync closure through task manager helps.

So now this is how we work with Illustrator from now onwards? Close coresync everytime we launch illustrator? Is there no method to permanently close it?

AIRobin helps in background saving. It's a crucial process that shouldn't be deleted. Read the discussion here.

I've found an easy solution to this problem.

To solve it (on Windows) just do the following:

  1. Open the Task Manager
  2. Find the process CoreSync.exe and right click > Open file location
  3. Delete the file
  4. Find the process CCXProcess.exe and right click > Open file location
  5. Delete the file

That's it.

It's work, CoreSync.exe Change to CoreSync.bkp.

No need to delete CCXProcess.exe file
