Illustrator 2024 lags after new update

Hi,

I've been experiencing lag on my Mac Illustrator since an update a few weeks ago. Oddly enough, even after reinstalling earlier versions of Illustrator, the problem persists.

By lag, I mean random but annoying ~1-second freezes of the entire app when moving any object with the Selection Tool. This happens with small and big documents, new and old ones. Every time.

I have Macbook Pro 16", 2021

M1 Max Silicone, 64 Gb of RAM.

As Illustrator is the primary software I use for my livelihood, I cannot begin to express my level of frustration. Dear Adobe, it feels like you've literally broken the tool for me.

P.S.: Creative Cloud Cleaner haven't helped as well.

Please try:

- turn off Magnet (at least for Illustrator)

- exchange the primary and secondary monitor

- turn off one monitor

Does any of this improve the situation?

None of this should be a permanent solution, but at least it gives the engineers a clue.

If you find out something, please post it here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com

And also: if there is an issue with Magnet, please report it to them.

I had similar lagging issues. It would lag when zooming in and out, the zoom would also be skittish. I'd stop zooming and it would continue. Copying with the option key would be delayed, just moving around text would would be laggy. I had Magnet installed. I quit magnet and everything went back to normal - including my sanity. Thanks!

Are you on Sonoma? If so, there are still issues that nobody could solve yet. Or even identify.

Do you have multiple monitors plugged in? Using Spaces for them? Do you have the Magnet app installed?

Yes to everything!

I have Sonoma. Tried both Stable and Beta versions.

I have Magnet App Installed.

I run two monitors: Apple Studio Display 27" and Cintiq Pro 27".
