Hello everyone,

We have received several reports of apps crashing or becoming unresponsive after launch, particularly following the release of version 28.6. Unlike generic crashes, this issue specifically causes all Adobe apps to get stuck at the splash screen or enter a “not responding” state, preventing them from launching. The problem has been traced to certain Beta Adobe applications related to video composition and editing. We recommend updating all Beta and released versions of video-specific Adobe applications on your system, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder. After updating, please relaunch Illustrator to see if this resolves the issue.

We suggest trying the solutions listed in this help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/fix-crash-on-launch-issues.html) for other generic cases. We appreciate your patience and are here to assist if you need further help.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or need assistance.

Thanks,
Anubhav

Having the same problem 😞 everything was working fine this morning, then when I tried to save my illustrator file it took a long time to respond, so I closed everything and haven't been able to get back in. Have tried everything mentioned in this thread. Not sure what the problem is

Yesterday I went back to Illustrator 2023. All my problems disapeared like magic. No more "not responding", no crashing 10 times a day. I can actually  get some work done.  Illustrator  2024 is unstable and next to unusable. Don't bother trying to fix it, that's Adobe's job.

2025 has been released yesterday. You can install it and keep your 2023.

I also have the same issue, it keeps loading or hanging if it opens.

I had the same problem. Unistalling all the Beta apps worked for me. Thanks

On Win or Mac? Try to reinstall all OS drivers or make fresh install of OS if you are on Win

Hi, I'm on windows PC.

I tried reinstalling the drivers as well. Not chance at all.

The illustrator loading screen always stuck at:
com.adobe.AdobeSplashKit.GraphicWindowClass

This only happens to my pc. My laptop (windows) is working fine with its illustrator.

It is still the same sadly 😞

Hello @Kindoru30850281clph,

I'm sorry to hear that the issue persists despite trying different troubleshooting steps. Let's try a few more options to see if we can resolve this:

  1. Close all Adobe applications.
  2. Navigate to the following location on your PC: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming (replace "username" with your actual username).
  3. Find the folder named "com.adobe.dunamis" and rename it to something like "com.adobe.dunamis.old".
  4. After renaming the folder, try launching Illustrator again and see if it loads properly.

If the issue persists:

  1. Set Adobe PDF as the default printer on your system (https://adobe.ly/3VjJePI).
  2. Ensure that your Windows operating system and GPU drivers are up to date.

After trying these steps, please let us know if the issue persists or if there are any changes in Illustrator's behavior. We'll continue to assist you until we find a resolution.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini
