Hello everyone,

We have received several reports of apps crashing or becoming unresponsive after launch, particularly following the release of version 28.6. Unlike generic crashes, this issue specifically causes all Adobe apps to get stuck at the splash screen or enter a “not responding” state, preventing them from launching. The problem has been traced to certain Beta Adobe applications related to video composition and editing. We recommend updating all Beta and released versions of video-speci

Hi, I'm on windows PC.

I tried reinstalling the drivers as well. Not chance at all.

The illustrator loading screen always stuck at:
com.adobe.AdobeSplashKit.GraphicWindowClass

This only happens to my pc. My laptop (windows) is working fine with its illustrator.

Hello @Kindoru30850281clph,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing with Illustrator on your Windows PC. It seems like a persistent issue, despite your attempts to troubleshoot.

To better assist you, could you please provide the following information:

  1. The version of Illustrator you're using.
  2. Details about your system specifications, including CPU, RAM, and GPU.
  3. The version of Windows you're running, along with the build number.

In the meantime, here are a few additional steps you can try:

  1. Run Illustrator as an administrator: Right-click on the Illustrator shortcut or executable, then select "Run as administrator" from the context menu.
  2. Temporarily disable any antivirus or firewall software you have running, as they may be interfering with Illustrator's operation.
  3. Check for any pending updates for both Windows and Illustrator and ensure they are fully up to date.

Once you provide more information, we can offer further assistance in troubleshooting the issue.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini

Hello @Kindoru30850281clph,

Thanks for sharing the details. Would you mind trying to run Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Hello @Kindoru30850281clph,

I'm sorry to hear that the issue persists despite trying different troubleshooting steps. Let's try a few more options to see if we can resolve this:

  1. Close all Adobe applications.
  2. Navigate to the following location on your PC: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming (replace "username" with your actual username).
  3. Find the folder named "com.adobe.dunamis" and rename it to something like "com.adobe.dunamis.old".
  4. After renaming the folder, try launching Illustrator again and see if it loads properly.

If the issue persists:

  1. Set Adobe PDF as the default printer on your system (https://adobe.ly/3VjJePI).
  2. Ensure that your Windows operating system and GPU drivers are up to date.

After trying these steps, please let us know if the issue persists or if there are any changes in Illustrator's behavior. We'll continue to assist you until we find a resolution.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini

Thanks for trying. If you're encountering an error, rename the Adobe.dunamis folder, even after restarting your system and closing all Adobe-related applications. Since you're still stuck at the loading screen with the "com.Adobe.Adobesplashkit.GraphicWindowClass" indication, let's try another approach.

Please follow these steps:

  • Restart your computer under system Safe Mode. This mode loads only essential system processes and drivers, which can help in resolving issues caused by conflicting software or processes.

  • Once in Safe Mode, try renaming the Adobe.dunamis folder again. Ensure no Adobe applications are running and you're logged in with an administrator account.

  • After renaming the folder, restart your computer normally and see if you can launch Illustrator without encountering the loading screen issue.

Please let me know if this doesn't resolve the issue, and we can explore other troubleshooting steps.

regards,

Anshul Saini

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or need assistance.

I can confirm, uninstall ALL Beta apps worked for both Photoshop and Illustrator.

Thank you! This issue took me four hours of trial and error, with a ton of research to finally find this thread that solved the problem.

Thank you! I had the same issue and was able to open Ai but now my most recent file won't launch. It launches the program but only to the intro screen and its properties show it at 0kb - it should be a large file. I can share my log and file with you via message if that helps.

Are you saving your files to the Cloud? You will need to find a file that is greater than 0kb. You may need to resync your files with the cloud. Also, open the app, then navigate to the file rather than double-click on that 0kb file. A 0kb file will never open in anything because there is nothing in it.

Ensure that you've deleted every single Beta app. I had to delete them for Premier, Rush, etc even though I was only experiencing an issue opening Photoshop and Illustrator.

Then, reboot and try.

If that doesn't work you may need to remove the specific regular release app and re-install as well.

Before I found this thread I was also using the Adobe Cleaner app to remove the applications, I do not think that is necessary based on the replies I'm seeing in this thread.
