Illustrator 2025: Issue with grouped object with clipping masks and opacities

With the recent update, it appears that one of my customers has been having an issue with creating grouped objects using clipping masks and opacities. Here is the issue she is having:

"The issue began Friday, June 27 around 10 AM, almost immediately after I had updated my Illustrator.  I was working on a file ([DO NOT OPEN] File1) where I was copying artboards from an existing file over ([DO NOT OPEN] File2). The first issue I had was a freeze after I tried transforming a simple shape. After that issue, I couldn’t save the file or move or create shapes. This issue then expanded to all illustrator files I opened."

We were able to resolve the initial issue by reinstalling Illustrator 2025, but the issue keeps happening when she tries to create the group object, even if she does it from scratch. Attached are the two files that were causing this issue and an example of the grouped object that she was using. Has anyone else had a similar issue with the new update?

Hello @steven_8482,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I tried replicating this behavior on my end but could not. Could you share a link to a sample AI file along with a small screen recording of your exact workflow and the problem (if possible), so I can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
