Computers have enough memory. I occurs with any file and file size doesn't matter.

Both of my coworkers computers have the same issue. We had to re-install the previous version.

Our computers are iMac (Retina 5k, 27in late 2015), 3.3. GHz Intel Core i5, 24 GB of Memory.

We have a fix and is available in the pre-release build. Please visit https://adobe.ly/1o2SDsg and get the latest build for version 23.0.1

While the build is prerelease this build is still of production quality. Please feel free to use / recommend it for your day to day activity.

    The problem is still alive!

Yesterday I tried working in the latest version again. Opened a file, and 1 minute later, just 1... The issue was back.

Nothing yet, only  to go back to previous version for now.

    Same here.

Hey, Adobe, how about you stop focusing on blue balloons and start to fixing your app before you release it?

Do you know how many hours of work you take away with these "new features"?

And beyond the crashes I have to click EVERY SINGLE TIME to close those blue balloons.

Please, stop to treat Adobe Illustrator as a mobile app. We are working here. Every time you release an update is a mess. Get your s**hit together and make it work.

Not to minimize the problem and not blaming either, but a) They didn't force you to upgrade your app. If time is money, let other folks find the bugs and b) the last version is a five minute re-install.

That said, this one seems wide-spread enough to warrant some good complaining about quality. I'm running this version and seem to be able to get a fair bit done between crashes, but I'm still doing my work in 22 so it has been more PITA than devastating.

    Nonsense:

a - They encourage upgrading - see an Adobe employee just yesterday Re: CS6 - Align To Pixel Grid Abscence Causing Snapping Hell . Products should be fully tested prior to release.

Chiming in here as well. I'm a professional graphic designer, plenty of RAM and been running Illustrator with no issues like this at all and then upgraded to Version 23 and am now getting the RAM issue/can't preview and all that. I have to quit Illustrator and restart it to temporarily fix the issue.

Just chiming in to say I am experiencing the same thing. Reverted back to 22.1.0.

Same here with me. Using an iMac running OS 10.13.6.

I have the same issue. Using a Mac and running OS 10.12.6. It would be really nice if Adobe would respond to this or at least make it easy to call or chat with someone about it.

I'm having a similar issue as well. Illustrator 23.0 runs sluggishly to the point of being unusable. After a few minutes I get a "Can't Preview" error or similar and the drawing part of the application disappears although the UI and tools are still selectable. Reverted back to 22.1 in order to get projects moving. NOTE: I am running a Beta version of Mojave.

I had to reverted back also.  I have Mojave, but not the beta version.
