Illustrator 23 very slow, not usable

Current Ver 23.0.1

WIndows 10 x64

Xeon E3-1240-V3

32 GB Ram

GTX 1080

Installed on System SSD

Feels like 10 FPS - Can not even use a pen tool

v 22 Works perfect

I've found, what caused the problem! It was the Info panel. Don't know why, but if it's opened, everything gets slow. If I close it, everything works fine!

In addition to what Eugene has suggested above, I would suggest you to please try these steps as well: Improve Illustrator performance on Windows

If that does not help, please try resetting Illustrator preferences: How to set preferences in Illustrator

Important Note: Resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and launch Illustrator with default settings.

Hello, I've used previous version of Illustrator all this time. Now had some time, and decided to try something to make 23 work. I've reset all Illustrator settings, uninstalled all Illustrator versions, installed 23 again, and it worked just fine! But after I've restarted my pc, it became very unresponisve and slow again, just as it was before... I really don't know what to do else.

Can you take a look at your preferences and go to the Performance and tell us what the GPU says?

I had something similar with the graphics card not showing up and had to change the cable for the monitor for a different port. But doesn't seem to be the case here.

Another issue I had was I had to update the Bios but that was on a windows computer - not sure what you're using here, but by the graphics card I'd assume it's a windows computer.

In terms of this - I'd look up any updates you may need, bios, graphics drivers etc.

Remember to do a restore point before commencing.
