Illustrator 24.0 not showing Quick Actions and Preview

Just installed Illustrator 24.0 today.  I want to create a circlular blend.  One that is editable to lengthen or shorten it.  The b;end tool looks like it doesn;t have the features the Illustrator help page on this subject has.  I've  done this in the past.  Quite a number of years ago but something is not working the same.  Evene the preview but is inoperable. So I go to the help menu and this it what itb starts off saying…

Blend options

You can change the blend options for an existing blend. To do this, select the blended object and do one of the following:

  • Double-click the Blend tool 
     
     
  • Choose Object > Blend > Blend Options.
  • In the Properties panel, click the Blend Options button in the Quick Actions section. 

The Blend Options dialog box appears, in which you can set the following blend options:

 

If I double click the blend tool or access it from the menu, I get no "Quick Actions".  Nothing looks new here.  And again, no preview.

Could you please show the screenshot to illustrate the difficulty?

Quick Actions is a section of Properties panel which allows you to open Blend Options dialogue (one of the ways). 

You can double-click the Blend tool, or choose the commsnd in Object menu, or click Blend Options button in Properties panel (Quick Astions section, the bottom part of the panel). And turn On Preview option in the dialogue.

But if you want to change the blend path (from straight line to any curved path), you have to draw the new path, select the blend and a new path and choose Object > Blend > Replace Spine command. This action is not in the dialogue.

The other way is to use Pen tool: add anchor points to Blend path, move them by Direct Selection tool, smooth using Anchor Point tool etc.

Quick Actions are shown in the Properties panel.
