Hi all,
I recently got a new Macbook Pro 2019 with 2.4ghz 8-core, 32 gb ram, 8 gb of vram and a 1tb hard drive, so this computer is definitly far exceeding the demands of Creative Cloud. I put a new install of Illustrator on this computer and it installed Illustrator 24.1. Ever since using this one, I have about 2 crashes a day at random. I press a button like delete and copy a point and it just closes. It does have a recovery file, but that doesn't fix the issue, it just covers my butt. I have also been having issues when hitting a Command+S and it says an unexpected error occurred while trying to save and says it was not saved. These are two errors I was not have on my previous version of Illustrator which I believe was an earlier version of Illustrator, possibly a late 2019 build on my 2013 Macbook Pro. Are there any solutions or anything that I can do to stop the complications. So far I'm not very pleased with Illustrator 2020.

Hi Ryan,
Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing some more information like:
1. Version of OS.
2. Does it happen on a specific file or action?
3. Are files saved locally or on network?
This information will help us understand the issue better.
Also, Please try disabling the Save in Background option under Preferences > File handling & Clipboard. I have also attached a screenshot as well for your reference:
Let us know if it helps you out. Looking forward to your response.
Regards,
Ashutosh

Hi,
1. Version of OS. - Max OS Catalina 10.15.4
2. Does it happen on a specific file or action? - No, it happens at random. I can leave my computer open with a project open and not touch it at all for a few minutes or a few hours, I will come back and Illustrator has closed itself. I reopen it and it prompts me to open a recovery file.
3. Are files saved locally or on network? - I am saving my projects locally so there isn't any sort of network connection issues.
I will disable save in background, I suppose I will try to keep up with my manual saving more and see if the issue persists with the auto save disabled. I wonder if that process is having a bug which closes the program.
