Illustrator 25 2021- Problems with plug in software

Question

Hi I recently got the Illustrator 2021 update . I use a plug in software called Silhoutte Connect from Graphtec. This is used to work a cutting machine for papercrafts. I came to use it through my 2021 Illustrator and the plug in is not visible through new Illustrator. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plug in software but still no joy. Does anyone have and ideas?

Has the plugin been updated to work with CC2021? This page only lists versions up to 2018: https://www.silhouetteamerica.com/faq/solution/silhouette-connect-plug-in-overview

had the same issue -- well it worked last week and now suddenly it kept on crashing AI with this latest job i was working on.
Tried downgrading from 25.3.1to a couple version before in case that was the issue.. still no go
Then i tried open the job i did last week and it worked.. humm why is this one crashing...???
Read thru the error report and saw something about a library artwork... only difference with this new job and previous job was my logo that i dragged into it from the Librairies section. I removed it from my artboard and it now works!!!

Looks like it didn't like the file that was on the artboard, that was enough to make all of AI crash when truing to send to Silhouette connect. removing the artwork from my artboard solved the problem.

So try: just a simple document with a square in it -- does Silhouette Connect works? If yes then there is an element in your failing job that it doesn't like ... hope that helps.
