illustrator 26.3 unable to select same fill & stroke

Just seemed to start happening today. I cannot use the select same options. I just duplicated the art several times on multiple artboards. So I know everything is the same. Yet when I have a single object selected and try to select same fill and stroke nothing more is selected.

Can you give us some more details...?

What setuop do you have?

Have you tried updating to the latest version?

Have you tried resetting your preferences and see if that makes any difference?

I'm running Illustrator 26.3.1 on an Imac running OS 11.6.7
AI 26.3.1 is the latest update I have.
I did not try resetting my preferences yet.
