Question

Illustrator 26.5 keeps crashing after long usage.

Hi,

I recently updated to the latest release,

The software has been crashing after long usage like 1-2 hrs of continous work and when I was about to export JPG by using the File > Export as  function.  it shows the same error and crashes instantly.
See attachment for error details.

 

If anyone know how to fix this please help.

I forgot to mention the new update also freezes (5-10 sec ) more often when I press Ctrl+S at different intervals.

Hi @Fasih K.,

 

We are sorry about the crashing & delayed response. This seems like a generic windows app crashing due to a corrupted installation, system files or disks. Would you mind trying the steps as suggested on this Microsoft community (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-do-i-get-rid-of-the-error-exception-break/cb222a25-89c2-4b36-910e-9130bc686cba). If this doesn't help, uninstall the application using the CC Cleaner tool and reinstall it from the Creative Cloud Desktop app.
