Illustrator 27.1 three colour image trace no longer working

I have recently updated illustrator in CC to v27.1 and have found the 3-colour image trace no longer works. There is very little difference between the traced and the original image, and certainly, doesn't reduce to 3 colours. I have tweaked settings to no avail. I am unsure if i am missing something or if this is a bug.

 

Its a function I use on a regular basis, so hoping for a fix soon

I am glad to inform you that the issue is resolved with the Ai v27.1.1 released recently. Please update the app and let us know if the issue persists.

    There have been some changes to image trace in 27.1

    You could try to reset your preferences:

    Image Trace has been overhauled in this version and tracing with limited colors is affected by this. Please report this to https://illustrator.uservoice.com
