Illustrator 28.1 numbers in transformation boxes only half visible

Hello,

I switched recently to Illustrator 28.1 and my numbers in the transform boxes are only half visible (please see screenshot). I can't find anything about this problem. Is there a way to fix this?  
My system is OSX Ventura 13.2.1.

When was the last time you rebooted the system?

 

But also: did you apply any text enlargement in the accessibility settings in the system? Or any enlargement in Illustrator?

Hello,
after you mentioned it I - again - did a reboot. And I tried several tests enlarging the GUI.
The weird effect that I can't see the numbers happens only when I'm in the standard setting with the smallest GUI (slider all to the left). It doesn't happen in the middle and the large GUI setting. But since I have only an 24" display the windows take away so much space that I would prefer leaving the settings to normal, which is the small GUI setting.

So you made sure that all possible enlargements are off?

which language is it?

 

Running out of options here. Maybe Illustrator cannot find or use a font that it needs for this. 


I'm in the German language. I would love to try switching to English language to give it a try, but I can only find information that turns out to be wrong / outdated (?). 
If you could kindly tell me how I can change from German to English language I could try out this. I would be capable to work with Illustrator in English as well if I can work around this problem.

It seems I need to completely uninstall and re-install with English language, but I need to get work done so that seems not an option for now.
