Illustrator 30, Rotate View Tool not showing in real time

Hello!
Ive just downlaoded the latest Illustartor software and the Hand Rotate Tool – when I use it (ie Shift + H) it shows me an angle/degree measurement instead of  (I dont know how to phrase it) rotating my artboard as Im turing it.  Ive recreated it and attched what it looks like.

Is there any way to change it? Its really hard to tell how far Ive rotated it based only at looking at measurements -its very hit and miss. I may have unticked a setting in prferences, Im not sure.

Are you using GPU view (look under Preferences > Performance for details)?
