Hi! I'm wondering if this bug in Adobe Illustrator (CC 2017.0.2) and Distiller (Professional Version 18.11.20040281318) can be fixed?
Each time I have the text of a URL that is being mentioned in square brackets, the closing bracket and the period that is included gets included in the URL (mouse-over and hyperlink). So after saving the document out as a *.pdf from Illustrator or saving first as *.eps and then using Distiller to make a *.pdf, I have this problem.
For each of these instances, I have to "Create link" and recopy the URL and this is a significant task when there are more than 10 to clean up by hand (it's also a great way to introduce errors on my end!).
An example of this:
Here's a link that doesn't work: [https://gec.cr.usgs.gov/.] because it tries to send you to https://gec.cr.usgs.gov/.]
Additionally, there is a similar problem with parenthesis:
Here’s a link that doesn't work: https://doi.org/10.1130/2016.0044(14) because it tries to send you to https://doi.org/10.1130/2016.0044
Anyone else have these problems? Could it be that I'm behind in Adobe updates?
Thanks!
