Illustrator arrange -bring to front send to back- not working

using illustrator 25.4.1, MAC big sur 11.6

arrange -bring to front send to back- are not working for both the dropdown & shortcut command.

clarify, i am able to select the option to bring to front or send to back, however the command is not functioning on the artboard w shapes and fonts.

looking for any tips on how to resolve this issue.

The usually reason for this is that an item is being brought to the front or back of the layer it is on, and the item you want to bring it to the front or back of is on a different layer.

hi, no its all on 1 layer. But i could see if they were on differnt layers that would be the case.

• Is the issue related to a specific document?
• Are you able to replicate this issue on a new document?

Meaning that the shortcut is not working?

The context menu is not working?

Or is it not working at all?

You are sure that it's not that there are multiple layers or transparency blend modes causing it?

This is insane!!!! I jus got off tech support and a screen sharing session that resolved an issue that shouldve bin the default and then this!!! I can't bring the object to the front no matter what!!  $#!+!!!

I'm sorry, I can't understand if your issue is solved or not.

If not, please describe what you are doing and show a screenshot with the elements in the layers panel visible.
