Illustrator arrow keys

I ran an illustrator update yesterday. Since then, my arrow keys don't work while in illustrator. They work in other programs, so it isn't the keys themselves. It is illustrator specific. I am a full time designer; this is a major inconvenience. Please, someone, know how to fix this!

    Which system on the Mac?

    There are some apps interfering with Shortcuts.

    Can you try and shut down everything and then launch only Illustrator?

    Also: did you restart the computer after installing Illustrator?

    Which system, to which version did you update?

    What exactly does not work with the arrow keys?

    Have you checked the distance setting in Preferences > General?

    I'm on a Mac. I just did the recent update in CC.

    Nothing happens at all when I hit the arrow keys. I checked the distance setting. That's not it. No movement when I hit arrow keys at all
