Illustrator Artboards converted to Guides
I am working with multiple artboards and whenever I close a re-opened the file the artboards disappeared and the artboard bound changed to guides. Can you help me how to avoid this happening?

Right. Yes the Original file might have been in CS3 or CS4. I can't say for sure but it's an old template that I've been using for years now. So will re-saving the template helps?
Yes, perform a Save As and choose Illustrator CC compatibility from the drop-down list.
