Question

Illustrator Asset Export adding white border line to jpgs

I love Asset Export for my work. But the added white lines to the borders of images are starting to get annoying.

I am mostly exporting one colour blocks as jpgs, in a variety of sizes - 1x, 2x, 3x, etc.

Once exported the white lines are added. So I then have to open all the exports in photoshop and either crop out the white line or draw over it.

Anyone got a solution? I am dealing with 100s of exports at once.... I dont want to rebuild my working files in .psd. I just want .ai asset export to work.

Cheers

In Illustrator set your units to pixels or points.

Your art and artboard sizes should not contain fractional pixels (points).

Check your Rulers, are they Global rulers?

Check the Artboard options; are the top left X/Y coordinates whole numbers (no fractions)

Select and check your colorblocks, are the width and height whole numbers, are the upper left X/Y coordinates  whole numbers?

Export the artboards at 72 ppi or a multiple thereof (144, 216, 288).

Can you show an example of one of the problem artboards? Post a screenshot including its x/y position.
