Illustrator Brush Drops Pen Pressure

I'm having an issue with Adobe Illustrator. I work between two devices, a Wacom Mobile Studio Pro and a Microsoft Surface 8. Whenever I'm working in Illustrator on the Surface Pro and trying to use the pen tool with sensitivity turned on, it will work for a bit, but randomly drops the pressure and reverts back to a default round brush. This is particularly consistent if I zoom in on my document while I'm using the brush tool.

I've set my brush to Calligraphic and turned pressure on, so I'm not concerned with that piece, I know how to set a brush, and I've tried the brush with "enable Wacom" both checked and unchecked with the same result either way. I believe that I'm observing a glitch in the Adobe software. Has anyone else had this happen and know how to fix it?

Hello @mwcincotta,

I'm sorry to hear about this experience and for the delayed response. I hope the problem is resolved by now. If not, kindly try updating the drivers and firmware for your Surface device (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/download-drivers-and-firmware-for-surface-09bb2e09-2a4b-cb69-0951-078a7739e120), and try to run Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows) and check if it helps.

Also, try disabling Windows Ink, and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
