Illustrator bug with artboards

Greetings and salutations!

I have the latest Illustrator version 29.4 running on Imac retina 2018, 64 RAM, MAC OS SEQUOIA 15.4.1

recently I had to work on multi page document, so I noticed an annoying bug: when I am making a new arboard by option clicking previous artboard, I can do it once but soon after the curson starts acting weird, and I cannot select artboard again, and when I switch to regular select tool it just starts not reacting, not selecting. SO I restart Illustrator and it works fine until I try to do it again, create new artboard and agaisnt it begins to act weird, really breaking work flow...

Today I installed Illustrator update( April 25th, 2025) and now it workd again... Guess it was a glitch of some sort...

Did you solve your problem, Yura?
I have similar one. When I open the program, I can move or scale any artboard with the mouse, but only once. Then, I can only move or resize it with the keyboard arrows or by entering numbers.

Hello @Yura Timoshenko,

I tried replicating this behavior on my end but could not. Could you try running Illustrator under Safe Mode as suggested earlier and check if it works better there?

Note: While running Illustrator under Safe Mode, avoid launching/running any other applications simultaneously.

Could you share a small screen recording (https://adobe.ly/4403NFm) of your workflow and the problem, so I can check this with the team?

Also, check if you are running any window managers/plugins and temporarily disable them to see if it helps.
