Illustrator can't find plugin to open linked files

Hi! I'm having some trouble with opening linked files in my illustrator docs. Everytime I try to open one, the message "Illustrator can't find the plugin to read the linked file .... Choose replace to select other file or ignore to keep the file unchanged" appears (my translation, my software is in spanish). Does anyone know the reason? I already tried reinstalling AI and didn't work. I'm a iOS user and the computer's software is also up to date.

Forgot to say that te "file name" that the message shows, is actually the location where the file I'm trying to open is.

So the file is on the desktop?

Mac OS is very peculiar about reading and writing permissions. Are you sure that Illustrator has full permissions to read and write everywhere? Do you have them as a user?

Hola, ve Ajustes del Sistema > Privacidad y seguridad > Acceso total al disco y añade Illustrator (si nos está todavía), y dale permisos.
A mí me ha funcionado esto, espero que te valga a ti.
