Illustrator Cannot Create a Resize Artboard Action

Participant ,

I have about 100 icons that need their artboards resized. Doesn't seem like a big deal: just record an action that sets the new size, then run it as a batch process.

But changes made to the artboard are not recorded. Nothing. Nada. Zip. The thought of doing this manually fills me with dread.

Does anyone know how I can do this as a batch? Or a script? Some workaround or something?

select your artboard tool and them perform a select all to select all of your artboards, then type in the new dimensions and it will apply to all of them.

I agree with what @meganchi was suggesting. Having done this you may now find yourself with overlapping artboards. In the bottom left of the Artboards panel is the Rearrange All Artboards button which will allow you to automatically sort your Artboards into rows and columns of your choosing.

Are you perhaps talking about 100 separate files instead of one document with 100 artboards?
