Hi

Did you manage to resolve this?  I'm getting exactly the same issue.  I'm using Windows 10.

InDesign and Photo Shop work without any issues.

Thanks.

I haven't got another computer to try it on.  I'm using Affinity Designer instead at the moment but the trouble with that is there is not image trace facility so I have to use other software with it as well.

I'm going to uninstall Ai again and then go in and delete all temp and roaming files and reinstall.  Hopefully that will sort it out.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. In addition to the responses shared earlier, I'd recommend creating a new user on your mac and try to work on the app there.

Additionally, you may follow the suggestions given here on this community post & let us know if they help.

Regards,

Ashutosh

Does it work when you turn off the Home screen and turn on the "Legacy New" dialog box in Preferences > General?

And then maybe an aggressive firewall blocks some necessary content from appearing on the Home Screen?

Also: when updating the system, did you reinstall Illustrator?

Did you reset the preferences?

Does Illustrator have sufficient privileges to read from your disk? Let alone write to it.

You could try File->New, Apple has used that menu command since 1984.

Did you look at the pictures?

Thats really annoying answer. I know how to use Illustrator, and since I moved to the new mac I cant open files, also existing ones.
