Adobe reps say they have duplicated the Save for Web crashing problem and are working on a fix. So fingers crossed we get this sorted soon!

I have exactly the same problem, when I do "Save for web", trying to resize the output picture, it crashes 2/3 times.

Also having the same issue crashing when "Saving for web". Turned off GPU to see if that would make a difference, it did for 2 saves and then on my 3rd save it crashed. Seems similar to problems other people are having (giovanni t). Can't seem to pin point the exact cause. Feature is crucial for me to send low-res comps to clients for approval. Talk to me Adobe.

iMac retina. GPU on

It's an intermittent thing. This morning I opened 20 files, half of them pdf hall .ai.

With them all open, I made jpgs one at a time of all of them, each at different reductions. I did it again but this time all were enlarged at 150%.

It was only during the forth round of 20 that it started to quit and it took quite a few times to finish.

This contrasts with last week when I couldn't do two in a row without it quitting. I was lucky today.

We can always use cc2014 for making jpgs until they fix it.

Wow. Really thought there would have been some progress on this by now. This is not an obscure, little-used feature - Save for Web is a critical part of many designers' workflow, as they have to send multiple iterations of files to clients for approval. Come on Adobe, get on this, please!

Hi,

Just to chip in - I reinstalled 2014 from the CC app and I'm now up and running again. A pain, but the only way forward.

Same issue here, not just NVIDIA!

Very unreliable, and doesn't happen every time.

I found that zooming the document out (to at least fit in window) helps, sometimes.

Also crash reporter doesn't seem to kick-in?

Simple documents better, complex ones or with large placed images not so!

Please fix!

MacBook Pro Retina 2014 - Just updated Illustrator.

Crashes about 60% of the time when saving for web. Very frustrating for a person like me who sometimes saves for web over 100 times a day.

Please update / fix this is Adobe, seems to be a pretty widespread problem.

I'm also having this problem... probably about 20% of the time. With my particular files, they worked fine in CC 2014. I'm making one tiny edit in text, and most will save for web, but some of the files crash consistently. The same ones crash 100% of the time trying to save as JPEG Maximum quality.

I did change it to PNG-24 Transparency, and it actually let me save one of the 'bad' ones... maybe that's a workaround for now, but it's very frustrating.

Same problem, mac with Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M.

So very annoyed, I regret updating between this and not being able to open .ai files I used daily prior. The GPU performance worked for that but that shouldn't have to be a random fix I have to stumble across in a forum.

I have the same problem and I'm surprised Adobe has not taken this issue serious enough. We are losing time and money too same way you don't like others cracking your product. Right now our wallets/pockets are being cracked by Adobe with poor update/product.

Illustrator used to be the most stable product...every time I hit save for web and try to resize the image or just hit save------it disappears all together only to restore it with many steps back.

Me too. When CreativeCloud first started, I was worried that subscribers would be used as BETA testers for the products they're paying for as finished products. Issues like these just strengthen that theory.

No "save for web" is a deal breaker for me so I have reverted back to CC2014 until this is resolved.

In the CC app, in the list of apps, Scroll down to 'Find Additional Apps', and there's a link for 'Previous Versions'. I found it in there and had to reinstall it as the 2015 installer presumptuously uninstalls 2014.

Previous updates left the old app intact so you could easily road-test the new app. But not this time. Oh no. And look what happened, Adobe, look what happened.

Bad Adobe. Not Cool.

Same Issue here. Happens when I open PDF (created on Illustrator CS 2014) and I want to save for web.

The crash is not regullar, sometimes it crashes as soon as one starts the save for web procedure, and sometimes it crashes when one tries to resize the file.
