I recently purchased a new laptop, very high specs, a true quad core i7 cpu and a gtx 1050 gpu. I have updated and installed all of the latest windows updates and drivers, including graphics drivers. Everything else runs perfectly. I have tried turning off gpu acceleration and there is no change.
When in illustrator objects will seemingly re-position on there own. There is screen tearing and graphical bugs constantly, especially when I try to re-position the canvas. zooming in and out with the track pad is impossible. when trying to use a stylus in illustrator probably only %30 of inputs actually register. Working with type and fonts is a nightmare to boot.
Illustrator is the most important program in my work and this is extremely frustrating to say the least. whats worse is I see many many threads like this here, with people all having similar performance issues with illustrator and I have yet to see any acknowledgement from adobe that there is an issue. And to top it off I cant even contact adobe directly for support! even though I pay $50 a month for these programs that don't even work properly.
This is not a driver issue, not an issue with my computer, this is a problem with illustrator itself and it needs to be solved quickly.
