I have verry serious problems with illustrator on my 2015 Macbook Pro 15 inch with the highest specs (2.8 GHz CPU, External graphics, 16 GB RAM...). I expected it to run like a beast since only the 27 inch iMac has better benchmark results. I noticed that illustrator was running very very very slow on it, honestly my old Air was running probably even faster that this pro. I tried to see what system Monitor app shows when illustrator is running and i noticed that CPU was never used more than 15% / 20% and showed AI not responding. I thought there are some settings in AI that limit the CPU usage but did not find anything. It is very strage because I know this is a very powerful computer and everyone is impressed by its performance and i'm just waiting 5 minutes to open a 20MB file in AI.
