Question

Illustrator CC Tiny Black Rectangle on Art Board

When running Illustraotr, I get a weird few black pixels just below the center of my screen. When I switch to a browser window, they disappear. If I screen grab, they become part of the image, but I cannot select them with any type of selection tool in illustrator or elsewhere.

I've zoomed in to this phenomenon in the photo below, and you see it's a group of black pixels forming a small rectangle, and then a faded few pixels.

For the life of me, I cannot solve this issue.

Please help!

Thanks--

Leeland

Hello @Leeland Avedon,

We understand how frustrating it can be to face technical issues. We are here to help and would like to suggest resetting Illustrator's preferences as explained in this article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/troubleshoot-preference-issues.html).
Disclaimer: Please note that renaming preferences folders will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also save a backup of the folders in case you want to. The location is mentioned in the article.

If you don't mind, could you please follow the steps and share your observations with us? We appreciate your time and effort in helping us resolve this issue.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
