illustrator cc vector logo save

hi

i am new in that. it probably was asked before but i could not find an answer.

My question is

If i design logo in illustrator how to save it that i could change file size to bigger or smaller when want to add it on to the tshirt or business card without loosing quality.

basicly how to save it that the same file can be enlarge or reduce the image.

please help

    It depends on what application they will be using the logo with. For instance, with MS Word, you could Export the logo as a WMF (Window Metafile). File > Export > Export As and choose WMF for format.) This is still vector, so reproduction size is not an issue.

    When I design a logo, I'll supply it to my client in a variety of formats (AI, PDF, WMF, PNG) and they can use whatever they want.

    Both excellent suggestions above.

    But, as Jonathan is suggesting, call your printer. If there's a particular file format they want, they will tell you.

    what if i design for someone who would like to have file to use where and when hi/she wants is pngok or beter ai

    if person donot have illustrator which file is best?

    if you are working with a vendor its good to ask them what format they want. they might just want a .pdf. or some will ask for the art files, in which case you would give them the .ai file with the text outlined so there is no missing fonts errors.

    It needs to be pure vector paths, no raster based effects. Then save it to a vector based file format such as AI, PDF or EPS.
